Spatial data with R

USB Event Space
This workshop will show you how to use R to manage and process spatial data. We will show you how to make choropleth maps and perform basic spatial analysis in R, as well as how to leverage the power of programming to create multiple maps quickly, one of the major benefits of using a scripting language such as R. We will also introduce the newly released book Geocomputation with R, an open source resource for anyone wanting to learn R for geographic research, and provide pointers towards more advanced methods and visualisation techniques.
